ICC-ES Evaluation Reports

The Division of Code Enforcement and Administration recognizes Evaluation Reports issued by ICC Evaluation Service, Inc.® (ICC-ES®) as a valuable tool that can assist Code Enforcement Officials in evaluating new and innovative building products and materials.

ICC-ES Evaluation Reports are important resources for Code Enforcement Officials to use in determining the compliance of products and materials with the provisions of the Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code and State Energy Conservation Construction Code or their acceptability as an alternative material, design or method of construction to the provisions of the 2007 Codes of New York State. ICC-ES, a subsidiary of the International Code Council® (ICC®), offers a multitude of services for the building industry and is widely known as the trusted source for the evaluation of new and innovative building products, components, methods, and materials as well as products that are already specified in the code. The evaluation process culminates with the issuance of reports documenting compliance with codes and standards. ICC-ES Evaluation Reports provide evidence that products and systems meet or exceed code requirements.

ICC-ES has expanded its services and offers now a comprehensive PMG Listing Program, covering all major codes and standards. Additionally, ICC-ES has developed the nation's first verification program evaluating the sustainability of product attributes (SAVE Program).

ICC-ES reports and listings are available free of charge to code officials, contractors, specifiers, architects, engineers, and anyone else with an interest in the building industry and construction.
