My name is Ron Piester and I am a proud member of the International Code Council (ICC).  I am also privileged to serve on the ICC Board of Directors.  As a Director of the ICC, it is my responsibility to participate in the development of policies and procedures that best serve the interests of our members and advance the mission of  ICC.  This web site is designed to provide you with information about issues that are shaping the ICC of today and tomorrow.  It also provides a means for you to present your opinions, concerns and suggestions for me to share with our colleagues on the Board of Directors. 

I hope you find this site to be useful and invite you to submit comments as often as you would like, on any issue or topic of interest.  Your comments will help me to represent you more effectively and to fulfill my responsibility as a member of the Board of Directors.

 

 

Upcoming ICC Board Meeting

The ICC Board of Directors will conduct its next meeting on Saturday, December 2, 2006. If you have any issues, comments, or questions that you would like me to present to the Board at this meeting, please submit them to me by Friday, November 10th. I will present all comments to the Board in the form a of a members report, which will also be posted on the NYS/ICC Interactive Forum. Code Council Board names Weiland CEO The International Code Council Board of Directors promoted the association's Chief Operating Officer, Rick Weiland, to the position of Chief Executive Officer. Weiland succeeds James Lee Witt. more New COO Announced Rick Wieland, ICC's newly appointed Chief Executive Officer, recently announced the appointment of Dominic Sims to serve as ICC's Chief Operating Officer. "Dominic and I are both looking forward to working with all of you in our new roles," Rick said, "as together we pursue the many opportunities and challenges that lie ahead." Dominic Sims ICC Code Development 2006/2007 Code Development Cycle Code Change Results Click here for current status of New York Proposals ICC-ES, IAS Call for Board Directors Two subsidiaries of the International Code Council, ICC Evaluation Service and International Accreditation Service, are seeking candidates for one-year Boards of Directors terms. Incumbent terms expire Jan. 1. ICC-ESICC-ES evaluates building products for code compliance. A nonprofit, public-benefit corporation, it performs technical evaluations of building products, components, methods and materials. Free ICC-ES evaluation reports are available to the construction industry, including code officials, contractors, specifiers, architects and engineers, and the public. IASIAS, also a nonprofit, public-benefit corporation, accredits testing and calibration laboratories, inspection agencies, building departments, fabricator inspection programs and International Building Code special inspection agencies. Laboratories and agencies that earn IAS accreditation meet internationally accepted standards.
